Gondan Shipbuilders in Spain has launched another commissioning service operation vessel for Edda Wind.

CASTROPOL, Spain—Gondan Shipbuilders in Figueras, northern Spain, has launched another commissioning service operation vessel for Edda Wind.
The new vessel, designed by Salt Ship Design, is 88.3 m long with a beam of 19.7 m. It will be powered by zero-emission technology, with funding support from the Norwegian government via Enova SF.
Other features are accommodation for 97 technicians and 23 crew, a 3D offshore crane, an offshore gangway with a 30-m outreach and a 26-person capacity elevator.
This is the third in a series of six vessels designed for the transfer of technical personnel for the commissioning and maintenance of offshore wind farms.
