Yinson-PTSC JV secures extension for FPSO offshore Vietnam

PTSC AP has received a six-month extension for the bareboat charter contract for the FPSO PTSC Lam Son.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Yinson Holdings Berhad, through its joint venture company with PetroVietnam Technical Services Corp. (PTSC), PTSC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. (PTSC AP), has received a six-month extension for the bareboat charter contract for the FPSO PTSC Lam Son offshore Vietnam.

The extension is part of the addendum entered by client PTSC and PTSC AP on June 30, 2021. This set a six-month firm period from July 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2021, and a six-month option period from Jan. 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022, which will be automatically granted if no notice of termination is received.

The value of the bareboat charter contract for the six-month option period extension is estimated at $9 million.

PTSC AP is 49% and 51% owned by Yinson and PTSC, respectively.

The FPSO operates at the block 1-2/97 field. The vessel has a production capacity of 18,000 b/d of oil, 31,000 b/of liquids, 35 MMscf/d of gas, and 15,000 of water injection.
