OSLO, Norway – TMC Compressors will supply a marine compressed air system for the Mero 3 FPSO offshore Brazil.
Hans Petter Tanum, director of sales and business development, said the design would allow the vessel crew to maintain the system themselves, reducing the need for offshore travel.
The package will comprise large-capacity service and instrument air compressors with associated air dryers and filters. Malaysian fabricator MISC will supply the FPSO to operator Petrobras for duty on the Libra block in the presalt Santos basin.
TMC will manufacture the marine compressed air system in Europe for delivery to the yard.
