GREAT YARMOUTH, UK – Gardline’s new multi-purpose vessel the Ocean Resolution has started survey operations following equipment trials earlier this year.
The geophysical survey vessel has been purpose designed to cater for both offshore oil and gas and wind farm markets.
The Ocean Resolution is a DP-2 survey vessel with 80 m (262 ft) LOA and a beam of 18 m (59 ft). This allows her to be configured with an array of high specification equipment to conduct simultaneous survey operations from one mobilization, the company said. For instance, 2D and 3DHR seismic, shallow geotechnical with a 100kN CPT deployable through the vessel’s moonpool, and environmental sampling through the side A-frames.
