McDermott ships more offshore Mexico FPSO topsides

The topsides modules will travel from McDermott’s Altamira fabrication facility in Mexico to the Dyna-Mac fabrication yard in Singapore for integration.

HOUSTON – McDermott International Ltd. has shipped the second set of topsides modules for the FPSO unit that MODEC Inc. is building Eni Mexico.
The modules will travel from McDermott’s Altamira fabrication facility in Mexico to the Dyna-Mac fabrication yard in Singapore for integration.
The company is supplying five FPSO topsides modules for MODEC. This second shipment includes modules that will provide inlet separators, oil separation, a flare KO Drum, and sand cleanup materials for the FPSO.
The FPSO Miamte MV34 will operate in Area 1 in the Campeche Bay, about 6 mi (10 km) offshore Mexico. Water depth is about 105 ft (32 m).
