ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands – Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd. (EEPGL) has awarded Kotug a long-term contract to provide offshore terminal towage support for operations in Guyana.
This contract marks the company’s first operation in the South American subcontinent.
Kotug Guyana Inc. will use its newly acquired SD Power, a high-spec 130-metric ton bollard pull, DP-2 azimuth anchor-handling tug. This vessel will provide support to the existing and upcoming FPSOs at the Liza field by providing towage assistance to export tankers, infield support duties, and cargo duties.
