Keppel Shipyard upgrading FPSO to work offshore Nigeria

SINGAPORE – Yinson Production has contracted Keppel Shipyard to perform a fasttrack modification and upgrading of the FPSO Allan.

The vessel will be deployed offshore Nigeria on the Anyala and Madu fields for operator First Exploration and Petroleum Development Co.

Keppel Shipyard’s program includes refurbishment and life extension works, fabrication and installation of a new riser balcony, spread mooring system and helideck, and modifying the vessel’s topsides and marine systems.

Work will start during the current quarter and is expected to be completed early next year.

The FPSO will have an oil storage capacity of 700,000 bbl and a processing capacity of 60,000 b/d.
