Their ultimate goal is to develop a low-carbon, cost-effective alternative to the umbilical power cables traditionally used in subsea developments.
The customizable ocean power solution, powered entirely by wave, solar and battery technologies, could help reduce operational emissions.
Proserv provides controls technologies for life-of-field offshore applications. Mocean Energy designs ocean energy converters, including the wave and solar-powered Blue X wave energy converter prototype.
This can be combined with battery storage to deliver power offshore, as demonstrated through the Renewables for Subsea Power program.
Mocean’s first commercial product, the Blue Star wave energy converter, is ready for deployment.
