Mærsk commissions ROV services for intervention, supply vessels

Oceaneering International has entered into a long-term agreement to provide Mærsk Supply Service with eight work-class ROVs to support the contractor’s global offshore operations.

HOUSTON – Oceaneering International has entered into a long-term agreement to provide Mærsk Supply Service with eight work-class ROVs to support the contractor’s global offshore operations.
The agreement extends to surveys, subsea tooling, engineering, communication and data solutions.
The ROVs will be installed onboard six Mærsk newbuild vessels, comprising two Stingray-class subsea intervention vessels and four Starfish-class anchor handling tug supply vessels, scheduled for delivery through 2017.
Oceaneering currently provides ROVs, survey and associated services on various Mærsk-ownedvessels and drilling rigs.
