BANGKOK, Thailand – Mermaid Maritime’s Singapore subsidiary will start work soon on a newly awarded $5-million subsea contract.
This will involve use of one of the company’s ROV support vessel and a chartered ROV support vessel with air diving systems, dredging equipment and concrete coating removal equipment.
The team will clamp and repair a 48-in. pipeline and change out SBM hoses offshore for an unnamed international upstream oil and gas company.
It is the first time Mermaid has secured work of this kind in Singapore and with this company.
