Petrobras has awarded a $50-million contract to Aker Kvaerner for 18 subsea christmas trees under the current frame agreement.

LYSAKER, Norway --Petrobras has awarded a $50-million contract to Aker Kvaerner for 18 subsea christmas trees under the current frame agreement.
The scope of work comprises 18 dual bore subsea christmas trees designed for 2 000 m (6 500 ft) water depth. The trees will be from Aker Kvaerner's subsea facility in Curitiba and will be deployed offshore Brazil.
Aker Kvaerner has delivered more than 130 subsea christmas trees to Petrobras since the start of operations in Brazil.
