PARIS -- Noble Energy has awarded Technip a lumpsum contract for the Aseng field, in block I, offshore Equatorial Guinea.
Technip’s scope of work includes engineering, supply, installation, and pre-commissioning of a 30-km (19-mi) flexible pipe system, including six flexible risers, flexible flowlines, and jumpers. The contract also covers installation of the subsea production system, including manifolds, flying leads, and umbilicals.
Duco, Technip’s wholly-owned subsidiary in Houston, will fabricate the umbilicals under a separate contract. Technip’s plan in Le Trait, France will fabricate the flexible pipes.
Offshore installation is scheduled for mid-2011 using the company’s deepwater construction vessel Deep Pioneer.
