Aker Solutions to maintain Petrobras subsea controls

Petrobras has awarded Aker Solutions a three-year contract for subsea control systems maintenance.

OSLO -- Petrobras has awarded Aker Solutions a three-year contract for subsea control systems maintenance.

Scope of work comprises maintenance, parts supply, and offshore operations on installed control systems and respective onshore tests and installation tools. The contract also covers maintenance of equipment installed on platforms, including both the hydraulic and electrical power units. The contract includes new equipment, such as manifolds for the Albacora field and Tupi subsea trees with Aker controls,.

“This contract reflects our intention to establish partnerships throughout the subsea equipment lifecycle, from engineering and manufacturing through to life-of-field maintenance,” says Marcelo Taulois, president of Aker Solutions' subsea business area in Brazil.

The contract will be managed from Aker Solutions' service base in Rio das Ostras, Brazil.
