Aker umbilicals to connect Gorgon field to onshore LNG plant

Chevron Australia has contracted Aker Solutions to supply 264 km (164 mi) of steel tube umbilicals to connect the Gorgon Project's subsea production system to an onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on Barrow Island, Western Australia.

OSLO, Norway -- Chevron Australia has contracted Aker Solutions to supply 264 km (164 mi) of steel tube umbilicals to connect the Gorgon Project's subsea production system to an onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on Barrow Island, Western Australia.
Aker Solutions' facility in Moss, Norway, will manufacture the steel tube umbilicals. The company’s Oslo and Perth, Western Australia facilities will manage umbilical engineering.
