NOTODDEN, Norway – Aker BP has contracted Optime Subsea to provide its well access system and associated services on its Norwegian offshore projects over the next two years, with extension options.
Optime Subsea’s Subsea Controls and Intervention Light System (SCILS) will be deployed this spring on Aker BP’s Jette field for P&A and on the Skogul field development in the North Sea.
“The SCILS offers both cost savings and improved safety in mobilization, operation and customization towards our subsea wells,” said Mads Rodsjo, vice president D&W Functional Excellence at Aker BP.
