PARIS – Tullow Ghana has contracted Technip for subsea installations related to the Jubilee Phase 1A development offshore Ghana. The Jubilee field is in a water depth of 1,300 m (4,265 ft).
Technip’s two contracts, valued at $130 million in total, cover project management, engineering, fabrication, and installation of a new flexible riser, two rigid flowlines, and 11 spools/jumpers, as well as installation of two manifolds and 5 km (3.1 mi) of umbilicals.
The company’s operating center in Paris will execute the project, supported by group branches in Houston and Accra. Flexibles will be fabricated at Technip’s plant in Le Trait, northern France.
Offshore installation should start in the second half of this year, using the vesselsGlobal 1200 and Deep Pioneer.
