Svalin close to start-up offshore Norway

Statoil has permission from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to use new pipelines and subsea production facilities and implement changes at the Grane complex in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Statoil has permission from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to use new pipelines and subsea production facilities and implement changes at the Grane complex in the North Sea.

These are associated with theSvalin satellite in 120 m (393 ft) of water in production license 169.

The field, 8 km (4.97 mi) southwest of Grane, has been developed via a multi-branch well drilled from the Grane platform and a tied-back seabed facility.

Svalin should start up on June 1.
