PARIS – Marathon Oil Norge has contracted Technip to extend the subsea infrastructure on the Alvheim field in the Norwegian North Sea.
Technip’s scope includes installation engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and tie-in of spools and protection covers and installation of one manifold. It will perform most of thesubsea operations with divers in a water depth around 120 m (393 ft).
The company’s operating center in Stavanger, Norway, will manage the project, which will involve offshore campaigns during 2014, 2015, and 2016. These will employ the dive support vesselSkandi Arctic, which can work through winter in both construction and diving mode.
