CALGARY, Canada – Start-up of the Orlando development in the UK northern North Sea has slipped to 2016.
This is due to delays in completion of certain equipment items, according to operatorIona Energy.
The company remains in discussions with CNR, operator of theNinian Central platform that will host the Orlando tieback, and with the UK government concerning timing of infrastructure access to accommodate the produced oil.
Manufacture of Orlando’s line pipe and christmas trees is nearing completion, and the copper cores for the umbilical are in the umbilical assembly plant. Manufacture of the control system continues, and piping tie-ins have been completed to the platform.
