ABERDEEN, UK -- Silverstone Energy and its management contractor ADIL have awarded an $18-million contract to Acergy for installation work at Viking Lx/B in the southern North Sea.
The contract is for the installation of a flowline, control umbilical, and associated subsea construction work to develop the gas well as a tieback to Viking BD platform. First gas is expected in 4Q 2008.
"Silverstone awarded the contract to Acergy because of their world-class skills in delivering projects such as Victoria," says Jim Brunton, Silverstone's CFO. "We are looking forward to building a strong relationship with Acergy in order to deliver the project safely and within schedule and budget."
