HOUSTON – Chevron USA Inc. has awarded 2H Offshore the contract for detailed design and delivery management of the riser systems for Big Foot. The field is in the Gulf of Mexico’s Walker Ridge block 29 in 1,600 m (5,200 ft) of water. Dry-tree drilling and a production TLP are on the development plan.
The riser systems will consist of two high-pressure drilling risers, 15 top-tensioned production/water injection risers, and oil and gas export steel catenary risers. The contract scope includes system integration, procurement services, and offshore installation support.
