LONDON – PETRONAS Carigali has awarded Subsea 7 Malaysia Sdn Bhd the seabed-to-surface engineering, construction, and services contract for the Kumang Cluster Project offshore Malaysia.
Subsea 7 will transport and install subsea structures, 5 km (3 mi) of umbilical, pipeline jumpers, electrical flying leads, and pre-commissioning of an existing 24-in, 5-km long pipeline.
The project will be done in two phases this year and will use the Rockwater 2 vessel.
