Offshore staff
PARIS – Statoil has contracted Technip to remove and replace two oil loading systems at the Gullfaks field in the Norwegian North Sea.
The full scope includes engineering, preparation and removal of the existing system, in 130 m (426 ft) water depth; installation of the new systems; and towing and handover to a disposal contractor of the existing loading equipment.
Technip’s center in Stavanger will perform the contract, with work due to be completed next spring. For the offshore construction campaign the company will use its diving support vesselsSkandi Arctic and Wellservicer, with divers assisting the program.
Last year, Statoil commissioned Technip to fabricate and install flowlines for theGullfaks South development.
