LUXEMBOURG – Petrobras has awarded Subsea 7 a two-year, $200-million contract to install flexible lines for various projects offshore Brazil.
Subsea 7 will use its construction/flex-lay vesselSeven Seas for the program on a day rate basis. The vessel has been operating for Petrobras under a similar day rate contract since 2013 and will start the new contract one in direct continuation to the current one.
Seven Seas, which can operate in water depths up to 3,000 m (9,842 ft), has a flexible pipelay system with top tension capacity of 430 metric tons (474 tons).
