Offshore staff
HOUSTON –SOFEC Inc. has landed a contract from EA Technique (M) Berhad to supply an external turret for an FSO to be installed offshore Malaysia for the North Malay Basin project.
SOFEC will provide engineering, procurement, and construction of the external turret including fabrication of the rigid arm and installation to the FSO vessel. The turret will be constructed inMalaysia and delivered in April 2016.
The FSO will be permanently moored with nine anchor legs arranged in a 3 x 3 configuration terminating at the seabed with piled anchors. It will be connected to one 6-in. flexible riser for condensate and designed for an additional 6-in. future riser for fuel gas or condensate.
