IJMUIDEN, the Netherlands — Strohm has supplied a thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) jumper to TotalEnergies for the deepwater Egina Field offshore Nigeria.
The system, commissioned for service in 1,600 m water depth, had undergone a testing program during which TotalEnergies qualified the TCP jumper for permanent subsea applications.
It passed all pre-deployment inspections and tests, allowing it to be certified for its full life cycle.
A Nigerian subsea service provider supported installation of the 5.2-inch ID, 340-bar design pressure jumper, which was transported on a small, multi-purpose vessel. Strohm personnel assisted the offshore installation.
