STAVANGER, Norway — All subsea work has finished for the Tyra gas field development in the Danish North Sea, and all satellite fields are now reconnected to the upgraded Tyra hub, said partner BlueNord in its latest results statement.
Leak testing started in mid-July, with tests now concluded on the closed drain systems and the flare systems, and hookup at the Tyra hub is in the final stages, with the risers and wellhead access deck and fender installation all completed.
First gas should follow in early first-quarter 2024 and plateau production in second-quarter 2024.
Elsewhere in the Danish offshore sector, an infill well on the Halfdan Field that spudded in June should come onstream from early 2024. The TotalEnergies-led DUC consortium has eliminated routine flaring by re-routing the final stabilization of Halfdan oil from Gorm to the Dan field complex.
In August, water handling capacity issues arose at Dan due to increased scaling and asphaltene precipitation following the Halfdan reroute operation. This led to reduced production from various Dan wells.
The WROM rig YTD 2023 has performed 10 well interventions, and the rig is due to execute eight more interventions over the remainder of this year, including restimulations.
Since the end July, there has been an option to line pack excess gas production from the Gorm hub in the pipeline between Halfdan B and Gorm. This should limit future reduction of Gorm’s production for flare optimization.
In addition, the stored gas can be used for fuel purposes when the Gorm hub is gas deficient, limiting the need for imported gas.
Note, Noreco changed its name to BlueNord ASA in May of this year.
