STAVANGER, Norway – Equinor has awarded Ocean Installer the Subsea Lines Modification Project 2023-2025, covering work for multiple projects in the Norwegian North Sea and Norwegian Sea.

The work scope covers riser replacements at the producing Vigdis, Visund and Åsgard fields, with offshore operations planned for 2024 as well as further optional work both this year and in 2025.

In addition, Ocean Installer will perform two Morgrip connections using Equinor’s pipeline repair system. One will be at Vigdis as a part of the riser replacement. The other will connect the offshore section of the new Northern Lights CO2 pipeline in the North Sea to the shore section from the CO2 reception terminal onshore in Øygarden.

Phase 1 with capacity to inject up 1.5 MM metric tons/year of CO2 is due to be ready for operation in 2024.
