C-Kore tools check condition of North Sea Tordis jumpers

YORK, UK — C-Kore Systems has provided testing tools for a DeepOcean subsea campaign on the Tordis Field in the Norwegian North Sea for operator Equinor.

The tools were used to confirm the status of the subsea electrical jumpers.

C-Kore’s team provided training on use of the systems to the ROV operators prior to the mobilization.

The company’s cable monitor system tests the insulation resistance and continuity of the electrical line while its subsea TDR unit localizes faults with a claimed accuracy of about 20 cm.
