STAVANGER, Norway— Havfram announced earlier this week that it has completed a complex subsea installation for Equinor's Johan Castberg Field.
As part of a much wider scope, Havfram recently completed the key installation of twin and triple spool bundles, using Eidesvik Offshore ASA's Viking Neptun CSV to execute the spool lifting and installation operations, with some bundles up to 173 te in weight and 95 m cumulative length per spool.
Seven bundles were installed in total, after four years of detailed design engineering, fabrication and installation engineering.
Havfram said the project culminated "with careful planning and good patience from all onboard in a successful and incident free offshore campaign, particularly given the tight weather criteria and challenging conditions in the Barents Sea even in summer."
