Offshore staff
LYSAKER, Norway – Petrobras has contracted Aker Solutions to provide a subsea production system and associated services for the Mero 4 project in the Libra block offshore Brazil.
This will be the fourth production system Aker Solutions has supplied for the Mero field development in the presalt Santos basin.
Its package will comprise up to 13 vertical subsea trees, including subsea distribution units, control modules and master control station for control systems and topsides, and tie-in equipment.
Aker Solutions’ subsea manufacturing plant in São José dos Pinhais, and its subsea services base in Rio das Ostras will perform most of the work, with offshore installations taking place between 2023 and 2025.
Mero is in the northwestern part of the Libra block in the Santos basin, 180 km (112 mi) south of Rio de Janeiro.
