The company will provide subsea manifolds, high integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS), and multiple subsea connection and jumper systems leveraging its TCS connector technology.
Through use of HIPPS, the company said, BHP will be able to use existing flowlines, risers, and topsides facilities to cost effectively tie-in the Shenzi North development to the Shenzi TLP.
Trendsetter has partnered with Proserv for the HIPPS control system and ATV for the HIPPS shutdown valves. Equipment deliveries are expected to span between 4Q 2022 and 1Q 2023.
Ron Downing, president of Trendsetter Engineering, said: “We see HIPPS as a key enabling technology to improve subsea tieback economics and generate significant value for BHP.”
In addition, the framework agreement allows for subsequent orders on future expansions in the Shenzi field development area.
