Petrobras has awarded TechnipFMC a subsea contract for phases 6-9 of the giant Búzios field in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.

LONDON and HOUSTON – Petrobras has awarded TechnipFMC a subsea contract for phases 6-9 of the giant Búzios field in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.
Water depth is 2,000 m (6,562 ft).
TechnipFMC will supply subsea trees with controls, electrical and hydraulic distribution units, topsides systems, and installation and intervention support services with rental tooling. Delivery is expected to begin in 1Q 2023.
The company said the contract is valued between $250 million and $500 million.
Petrobras is targeting production of more than 2 MMboe/d from Búzios by the end of the decade. Currently four FPSOs are in operation on the field with three more – the Almirante Barroso, Almirante Tamandaré, and P-78 – under construction. The ninth unit is in the contracting process.
