YORK, UK – C-Kore Systems has completed a subsea inspection campaign offshore Nigeria with VAYCO Oil tools and Nigerian partner, Cranium Engineering.
The C-Kore tools were used to test the electrical integrity of subsea facilities for the unnamed major operator. According to C-Kore Systems, they insured minimum interruptions to field operations and led to reduced vessel time, with no additional personnel required offshore.
The Cable Monitor unit tests insulation resistance and continuity of the electrical line while the Subsea TDR unit localizes faults with a claimed accuracy of around 20 cm (8 in.).
