FAREHAM, UK – Belov Engenharia has ordered four Saab Seaeye Leopard work ROVs to support Petrobras’ operations offshore Brazil.
The contractor said it chose the 3,000-m (9,842-ft) depth rated vehicles because of their compact size to power ratios.
Saab Seaeye claim they are also more agile and responsive than an equivalent hydraulic work vehicle and can handle stronger currents, opening wider operational windows.
The Leopards will be deployed from three dive support vessels for tasks including cleaning and inspecting risers on FPSOs.
