Geocadinal Integrated Services in Nigeria has ordered a Saab Seaeye Falcon electric ROV to support subsea inspection/installation projects off West Africa.

FAREHAM, UK – Geocadinal Integrated Services in Nigeria has ordered a Saab Seaeye Falcon electric ROV to support subsea inspection/installation projects off West Africa.
The survey suite on the Falcon, customized for Geocadinal, includes a Digital Edge HDD dual channel recording and eventing system, a dual laser system for video survey and measurement, and a Tritech sonar.
Other features on the ROV are five-function hydraulic and single-function manipulators, a rotary wire cleaning brush kit, a cathodic potential probe kit, a Cygnus ultrasonic thickness gauge, and a Falcon running lock system.
According to Saab Seaeye, the Falcon’s five thrusters and iCON intelligent power and assist agility and steadiness in strong cross currents and harsh conditions while the vehicle is heavily laden with equipment.
