Safe Boreas rig heading to Australia for gangway support

Prosafe has signed a contract for the Safe Boreas accommodation support rig to provide gangway-connected operations for an unnamed project offshore Western Australia.

The 15-month firm award, with up to six months of extension options, could total up to $100 million in value.

Safe Boreas will mobilize from the North Sea next spring and undergo a five-yearly special periodic survey and other maintenance work prior to starting the contract.
