Odfjell begins contract with Repsol for integrated drilling services

The contract includes drilling, completion, recompletion, well intervention, maintenance, engineering and future plug and abandonment work.

Odfjell Technology has started the contract with Repsol Norge AS for integrated drilling services on the Yme Inspirer jackup rig, according to a LinkedIn post by Odfjell on Aug. 13.

The contract is a firm five-year contract with two three-year optional extensions, and it includes drilling, completion, recompletion, well intervention, maintenance, engineering and future plug and abandonment work.

At the time when this contract was first announced in January, the estimated value of the firm period was NOK400 million ($38 million) and NOK1 billion ($95 million) including all options.

The Yme Inspirer jackup produces oil from the Yme Field in the eastern Norwegian North Sea.
