SINGAPORE — Seatrium, formed from the recent merger between Sembcorp Marine and Keppel Offshore & Marine, has issued an update on its latest offshore project milestones.

During the third quarter, the group delivered the Whale FPU to Shell Offshore Inc. for deployment in the Gulf of Mexico. Deployment of the 30,000-metric-ton Goliath twin cranes helped save more than two million man-hours and supported a 30% reduction in hull and topside integration time.

In addition, the group delivered two KFELS B-Class jackup rigs, AlSila and AlSaadiyat, to ADNOC Drilling for service in the Middle East region, and it completed topside module fabrication for the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré  for client SBM Offshore. On completion, this will head to Brazil to work for Petrobras at the Búzios Field in the presalt Santos Basin offshore Brazil.

Seatrium also completed repairs and upgrades for three jackup rigs for PT Apexindo (Indonesia).

Among the latest milestones, DolWin epsilon, an HVDC offshore converter platform ordered by TenneT for the DolWin5 wind farm in the North Sea, is heading to Haugesund in Norway for high-voltage electrical equipment installation and commissioning.

Seatrium has started construction of Ørsted’s 600-MW offshore substation for the Greater Changhua 2b and Greater Changhua 4 wind farms offshore western Taiwan.

And work is progressing on Petrobras’ P-78, P-80, P-82 and P-83 FPSOs, including construction of the hulls, living quarters and topside modules.

Finally, block erection has started in the drydock at Singapore for the new Sturgeon wind turbine installation vessel.
