ASKER, Norway – ONGC has equalled its pre-monsoon rig move record, executing 33 jackup movements between April and June.
Most of the rigs were based on the west coast of India, with one jackup on the east coast.
Aqualis Offshore, working with the ONGC Rigmove cell, assisted most of the relocations prior to the arrival of the seasonal weather conditions, using mariners from the company’s Dubai office with engineering support from London.
“It is a huge logistics challenge that has been solved safely and effectively by everyone involved,” says Rodger Dickson, Group Marine Director, Aqualis Offshore.
Last month, United India Insurance Co. also re-appointed Aqualis Offshore to continue providing marine warranty services to ONGC’s fleet of jackup rigs and mobile offshore production units in Indian waters.
