ROTTERDAM, Netherlands -- Fairstar has safely discharged the Northern Offshore jackup rig Energy Exerter in Kavalla, Greece. The mobilization of the rig started above the Arctic Circle and tested the performance of Fairstar's Fjord through some of the most extreme winter marine conditions in the Barents Sea, along the coast of northern Norway and through the Bay of Biscay, the company reports.

The rig has now begun a 120-day drilling contract for Aegean Energy in the Prinos North and Epsilon fields, offshore Greece, according to a local news source.
