CIMC Raffles building wind turbine vessel for Chinese conglomerate

CRCC Harbour & Channel Engineering Bureau group in China has commissioned CIMC Raffles to construct a 1,600-t offshore wind turbine installation vessel.
YANTAI, China— CRCC Harbour & Channel Engineering Bureau group in China has commissioned CIMC Raffles to construct a 1,600-t offshore wind turbine installation vessel.
The self-propelled vessel will be 136 m long, 53 m wide and will accommodate 120 personnel. Its main crane lifting capacity will be more than 2,000 t.
It will be capable of installing various types of wind turbines with a capacity range of 15-20 MW.
