OSLO, Norway—BW Energy has installed the modified BW MaBoMo production jackup platform offshore Gabon, following its arrival from the Lamprell yard late last month.
Preparations have started for future drilling operations and tie-in of the export pipeline to the BW Adolo FPSO and the BW MaBoMo.
Currently, 20 km of the subsea pipeline has been installed, with final connections planned for year-end 2022.
The drilling rig should drill the first production well for the Hibiscus/Ruche development in January, followed by startup toward the end of first-quarter 2023.
