STAVANGER, Norway— MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) has contracted Havfram for work on the Sangomar FPSO offshore Senegal.
Havfram will perform pre-installation of the subsea mooring system for the vessel, which MODEC will supply to the Sangomar project operator Woodside Energy for the field’s first-phase development, targeting 230 MMbbl of oil.
The contract scope covers project management, engineering, storing, transportation and installation of nine suction piles and associated mooring lines to the location 100 km offshore in 780 m water depth.
Havfram’s project management and engineering team will be based at its offices in Stavanger and Aberdeen.
The company has similar programs underway for the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim FPSO offshore Mauritania and the Johan Castberg and Jotun FPSOs offshore Norway.
