TotalEnergies keeps Maersk drillship for further well offshore Suriname

TotalEnergies E&P has taken up an option with Maersk Drilling for an additional well in Block 58 offshore Suriname, using the Maersk Valiant drillship.

LYNGBY, Denmark  TotalEnergies E&P has taken up an option with Maersk Drilling for an additional well in Block 58 offshore Suriname, using the Maersk Valiant drillship.

The 100-day contract extension should start in August/September in direct continuation of the vessels’ current work scope.

Estimated value of the extension is about $24.3 million, including integrated services and a fee for the use of managed pressure drilling.

The contract includes an option for a further well.

Maersk Valiant is a seventh-generation drillship that was delivered in 2013.
