Saipem charters two Bourbon vessels for Greater Tortue Ahmeyim development

Bourbon Mobility is providing two vessels to support Saipem for the construction of the LNG terminal for the bp-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal.

The 175-ft Bourbon Siroccoi has been designed by Piriou Ingenierie and Mauric Design Office for fast transportation of personnel and cargo.

MARSEILLE, France — Bourbon Mobility is providing two vessels to support Saipem for the construction of the LNG terminal for the bp-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal.
The Bourbon Sirocco fast support intervention vessel can be used for management of crew changes and routing of regular supplies. According to Bourbon Mobility, it has a large deck space, with a capacity of 200 metric tons and seating for 60 passengers.
It performs three supply runs per week between Dakar and the terminal hub, 120 nautical miles from Dakar.
Saipem has now expanded the arrangement, chartering Bourbon Mobility’s 26-m long Surfer 2609 personnel transport vessel with a 50-seat passenger cabin. This provides two to three voyages per week.
