Offshore staff
RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has signed contracts with two Yinson Production subsidiaries for the Parque das Baleias integrated project in the northern Campos basin offshore Brazil.
The contracts, which follow letters of intent signed last November, cover the chartering and provision of services for the FPSO Maria Quitéria, to be installed in the Jubarte field.
The platform, due to start production in late 2024, will have the capacity to process 100,000 b/d of oil and 5 MMcm/d of gas, with the chartering and service contracts running for 22 years and six months from the unit’s final acceptance.
Petrobras plans to connect nine oil producer and eight water injector wells to the FPSO.
The Parque das Baleias area comprises the Jubarte, Baleia Anã, Cachalote, Caxaréu, Pirambú and Mangangá fields. Currently, four platforms are in operation: P-57, P-58, Cidade de Anchieta, and Capixaba, with the latter not due to operate beyond 2022.
