STEENWIJK, the Netherlands – Offshore Marine Contractors (OMC) has helped Petrodec and Perenco to mobilize the jackup Erda (ex-Energy Endeavour) for a module installation at the Leman gas field in the southern UK North Sea.

The rig was maneuvered out of the Westhofhaven in Vlissingen by the Multratug 4 and Fairplay 28, with further harbor assistance provided by Multraship Towage.

At the Sloehaven, Rimorchiatori’s anchor handler tug support vessel AH Varazze was connected for the 140-nautical mile transit toward the 49/27a production platform.

After passing through the Sloehaven breakwater, the convoy arrived at the field location late last week.

Following deployment of the anchors, the Erda has been positioned and installed at minimum tolerances (according to OMC) for installation of a compressor module on the platform.

OMC Towmasters managed the rig move, anchor handling operations and tolerance positioning onboard the Erda, in cooperation with the Petrodec crew.
