Petrobras extends three Subsea 7 pipelay support vessel charters

Petrobras has awarded Subsea 7 one-year contract extensions for three pipelay support vessels operating offshore Brazil.

LUXEMBOURG Petrobras has awarded Subsea 7 one-year contract extensions for three pipelay support vessels (PLSVs) operating offshore Brazil.

The extensions have a combined value of about $155 million, net of agreed reductions to the current day rates, and increase the backlog of the four Brazilian PLSVs to $493 million as of Aug. 31, 2020.

The Seven Waves, Seven Rio, and Seven Cruzeiro will operate at a new day rate with effect from Aug. 1, 2020 and their firm contract periods will now end in 2Q 2022, 3Q 2022 and 4Q 2022, respectively. The Seven Sun will complete its current contract in 2Q 2022 at its prevailing day rate.
