North Sea Elgin support contract re-scheduled for 2021

Prosafe and Total E&P UK have agreed to push back by a year the start date under which the semisubmersible Safe Caledonia will provide accommodation support at the Elgin gas-condensate complex in the UK central North Sea.

STAVANGER, Norway – Prosafe and Total E&P UK have agreed to push back by a year the start date under which the semisubmersible Safe Caledonia will provide accommodation support at the Elgin gas-condensate complex in the UK central North Sea.
The contract will now begin around late 1Q 2021, 162 days firm with a 30-day extension option. In addition, Total has agreed a deferral fee will be payable.
Jesper Kragh Andresen, Prosafe’s CEO, said: “This contract remains important for both Prosafe and Total, even as we face a time of unprecedented challenge.”
